Ended up here for now. To @MichaelFrye ‘s point, rule of 400 gave streaks, although at this magnification it doesn’t look too bad. I’ll try again.

Michael, one more thing. On the wider-angle frames (e.g. 35mm), there is a separation between the horizon (trees) and the sky, which helps delineate the sky for Starry Landscape Stacker. In this case, stacking seems to help the picture.

In the 200mm zoom, there is nothing but sky. In this instance, stacking just destroys the core of the comet.…

Thanks Michael. I tried tonight (before I saw your email), but with the rule of 400 and did notice the minor streaking. I will try again with the shorter exposure. I ended up with ISO around 3200. I shot 16-20 exposures, and I will try stacking them as you had shown us.
