Lightroom’s Masking Panel: In Depth

• An in-depth tutorial about Lightroom's powerful new Masking Panel
• Three-part video series, with a total run time of 90 minutes
• Part 1: Overview – a thorough look at the Masking Panel's great new viewing and organizational features
• Part 2: The Selection Tools – how to use the two new AI-powered tools (Select Subject and Select Sky), plus changes to the previously-existing selection tools
• Part 3: Combining Selections – how to combine selections to create exactly the selection you want. This is the most powerful – and complex – aspect of the new Masking Panel, and this video gives you clear, straightforward paths for taking advantage of that power

With the release of Lightroom Classic 11.0 in October 2021, Adobe completely revamped how the local adjustments work. Instead of separate tools for the Graduated Filter, Radial Filter, and Adjustment Brush, all the local adjustment tools are now together in one place – the Masking Panel – with improved features for viewing and organizing all your selections. Adobe also added two new AI-powered selection tools, made it possible to use the Color Range and Luminance Range tools independently, and, best of all, added the ability to combine multiple selection tools in almost unlimited ways to create exactly the selection you want.

The Masking Panel is incredibly powerful, but with increased power comes added complexity. This three-part video series will help get you up to speed in the new Masking Panel so you can take advantage of all that power.

Please note that these Masking videos are also included in my two other Lightroom courses (The Essential Step-by-Step Guide and Advanced Techniques). So if you’re already enrolled in either of those courses, there’s no need to purchase them separately here.
